Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 3 November 2026 · These terms apply when you rent a self-drive car from Goa Self Drive Cars (“we”, “us”).

Information we need you to fill inBefore relying on these terms, please add: the registered business / legal entity name, GSTIN, and registered office address. The operating addresses currently on the site are: Shop No S5, Greva Residency, Zuarinagar, Dabolim, Goa 403801; Green Valley, Chicalim, Goa 403711.

1. Eligibility & documents

You must be at least 21 years old.
You must hold a valid Indian driving licence (issued at least 6 months before pickup) or, for international travellers, a valid passport and International Driving Permit.
At handover you must show your original driving licence — photocopies and screenshots are not accepted. A DigiLocker licence is accepted.
You must also show one government photo ID (Aadhaar, Passport, PAN or Voter ID) for verification.
If we cannot verify your identity or eligibility, we may refuse handover and refund your advance as per the cancellation policy.

2. Booking & payment

A 20% advance is required online to reserve the vehicle. The remaining 80% balance is payable at handover.
You may instead pay the full amount up-front for an additional 2% off the rental.
Prices are in INR and include 18% GST on the rental, plus a ₹500 pickup and ₹500 drop delivery charge.
The chosen plan (Daily / Weekly / Monthly) cannot be changed after the booking is confirmed.

3. Refundable security deposit

A ₹2000 refundable security deposit is collected at handover.
It is refunded within 48 hours after return, minus any fuel shortfall, damage, or traffic challans attributable to the rental.
The deposit is not rental revenue — it is held as security only.

4. Fuel policy (same-to-same)

The car is handed over with a set fuel level and must be returned at the same level.
If returned with less fuel, a ₹500 refuel fee plus the actual fuel cost applies.
Excess fuel left in the tank is non-refundable.

5. Timing & the 9 AM–9 AM day cycle

One day is counted on a 24-hour cycle, 9:00 AM to 9:00 AM.
There is a 2-hour grace period before an extra day is billed.
A late return beyond the grace period is billed as an extra 24-hour day.

6. Delivery & collection

We offer doorstep and airport delivery and collection anywhere in Goa.
Delivery is ₹500 for pickup and ₹500 for drop (airports, railway stations, beach hotels).
The car must remain within Goa state borders.

7. Use of the vehicle

The speed limit is 80 km/hr; the renter is responsible for any traffic fines incurred during the rental.
Tolls and parking charges during the rental are paid by the customer directly.
You are responsible for the vehicle while it is in your custody and must report any accident, breakdown or damage to us promptly.

8. Cancellation & changes

Window	Charge / outcome
More than 24 hrs before start	₹500 flat fee; the rest of the amount paid is refunded.
24–3 hrs before start	50% of base fare (max ₹3500) charged; the balance is refunded.
Less than 3 hrs before start / no-show	No refund.

• Any change of date, time or location needs at least 3 hours notice before start and costs ₹500 plus any fare difference.

• A trip extension before start costs ₹500 plus the extra fare for the added days (subject to availability).

• If your booked car becomes unavailable, we provide the same or an upgraded car at no extra cost, or a full refund.

9. Liability

You are responsible for the vehicle during the rental. You are liable for damage, loss, traffic challans, tolls and parking charges arising during your rental period, and these may be deducted from the security deposit. We provide the vehicle in roadworthy condition; to the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the rental amount paid.
